in sauga for the day, just got a fresh cut 😮‍💨 chilling around sq1 area and was looking for a place to work around my barber's shop! found this cafe on google called "201 Cafe" and thought that was a cool name LOL so decided to check it out.

turn out that 201 cafe is actually inside a kung fu tea 🤣 what the

i asked if this was some sort of partnership and i legit could barely hear the girl LOL she was like mumbling but it's all good 🤷‍♂️

in this series i'm just going to order whatever is closest to a black pourover, so whether that's an americano, drip coffee, etc. ima order it and review!!

vibe/ambience - 3/10

i meannnn a kung fu tea is a kung fu tea LOL so not much ambience/vibe going for this cafe 😭 at least the chair i'm sitting in is pretty comfy. i did some work here but it is COLDDD in here LOL the barista is literally wearing her outdoor jacket with a full hood on and everything 😭 def brought down the score a bit

presentation - 3.5/10

as expected of a bbt store, not really any sit-down presentation options - just a regular degular to-go cup. the logo is kinda cool though so i'll give it some points for that

price - 2/10

$4.80 for an under-average americano and to-go cup is some crazy work 😭 i think a fair price for this type of coffee would be somewhere around $2-3

coffee quality - 3/10

it's tough because i'm not the biggest fan of americanos as opposed to drip coffee/pour overs, but i feel like my palate is strong enough to know what's not good LOL. the americano does feel kinda watered down, although the caffeine is kinda hitting tho!! just not the best taste profile in my opinion.

final score - 2.9/10

not much to say about this cafe that hasn't been said already 🤔 maybe if they were separate from kung fu tea, had some more decor, working heaters etc - they could be great! but at the current moment it wasn't a great experience :(
